Read the storyDuring 2016-2017 academic year, over 2000 students in 1-12 grade took part in our free programming and digital skills trainings for students. With total of 36 cohorts in 11 towns across the country, nearly three-quarters of all participants, aged 7-12, made their first steps in the world of technologies.
Campus X, the largest private incubator for technology companies and talent in Southeastern Europe and the home of Telerik Academy, won 4 prestigious awards at the annual b2b Media Awards 2018. Thus, becoming the most awarded organization of the evening.
George Mateev moved from his home town Pleven to Sofia in order to study “Computer Science” in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. In his first year at the university, he joined Telerik Academy’s professional program for software engineers to combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice and landed his first job as a software developer even before graduating from the Academy.
Endava is an international IT services company, which entered the Bulgarian market at the end of 2016 after acquiring the Dutch ISDC. The company is a partner of Telerik Academy. Endava’s clients include world leaders in the financial, insurance, telecommunications, media, distribution and tourism sectors.
While studying “Computer Science” at university, Victor Metodiev decided to join Telerik Academy. His aim was to broaden and build on top of his programming skills and to kick-start a career as a software engineer. His efforts paid off soon. Only a week after graduating from Telerik Academy, Viktor started working as a full-stack developer in the Bulgarian software company Grafixoft.
Campus X - the largest private incubator of technology companies and talent in Southeastern Europe – is the latest project of Telerik and Telerik Academy co-founders: Vasil Terziev, Boyko Yaramov and Svetozar Georgiev. The Campus aims to support and accelerate the success of the start-up and already established technology companies.
Telerik Academy reports 35% more applicants for their programs per year. The organization says that 93% of the students who completed their Alpha programs for IT career start were able to realize themselves in the IT sector within 6 months.
Motivated by the opportunity for better work-life balance, higher salaries, and attractive company culture, people of all ages and backgrounds are making a 180-degree career change to IT. Usually starting from scratch. Although such a career transformation seems risky, the following stories of 3 software engineers prove otherwise. All three of them are graduates of Telerik Academy Alpha.
Alexandra Mechkova, our CEO shares that the courses should not be seen as a substitute but rather as a supplement to university education: "While at university one can go deep into theory, we add practice, work in a real environment, direct connection with employers, development of key personal and communication skills. We are often the transition from formal education to business."

Telerik Academy announced the admissions for the new edition of Alpha C# - the 6-month program anyone can join to start an IT career regardless of their experience and programming knowledge. Admission is open until February 1, 2023, and no previous coding experience is necessary - it is essential for applicants to be motivated and able to commit to learning.
