I have no programming skills, can I still join the program?

Absolutely! No prior experience is needed. The first 6 weeks of the program focus on Core Programming Fundamentals, where you'll build essential programming skills with mentorship from industry experts. You'll also cover the most important Soft Skills topics and skills. This phase helps you transition smoothly into Java - if you decide not to continue, you'll still earn a Core Programming Certificate.

I already have some programming skills, is the program right for me?

Yes, during the program you’ll acquire practical skills while being mentored by our seasoned tech and soft skills trainers. You’ll master modern technologies, build a professional-grade portfolio to impress employers and get ready for a successful IT career jumpstart.

Are there any age restrictions?

We've had students of various ages and stages of their lives in the past and they’ve succeeded in their journey to become developers. Age is just a number – the only thing that matters here is your motivation to learn, develop new skills and commit to the program.

You only need to be 18 years of age or older to enroll in the course. If you're younger than 18 years, you can check our Telerik Academy School programs.

How do I know if programming is for me?

Just start - it's risk-free, and we made it as friendly as possible! With a small 500 BGN investment (paid upfront - before the start of the program), you’ll spend 6 weeks building programming knowledge and earning a Core Programming Certificate. If you decide to continue after 6 weeks, pay the remaining BGN 6,500 (in full or in installments) by the end of week 6. If not, no further commitment - you walk with a certificate and new knowledge.

What is the selection process?

We use a holistic review process when evaluating applicants for admission. The final selection of candidates is not based on a simple formula. Instead, we consider a variety of factors: application documents, online cognitive assessment, personal motivation for applying, etc. Some candidates might also be invited to an interview to discuss their career and development aspirations.

What if I need to drop out of the program?

You can drop out within the first 6 weeks - you only pay the 500 BGN that covers your Core Programming Certificate, mentorship, hands-on training, and full Soft Skills training - so even if you decide not to continue, you’ll still gain valuable skills. If not, no further commitment. Our advice? Complete the first 6 weeks before making a final decision. This way, you’ll have a strong foundation and better understand whether Java is the right path for you.

What will the logical reasoning test include, and how do I access it?

The logical reasoning test is a 45-minute timed assessment that measures problem-solving ability and the ability to come to conclusions based on logic. Don’t worry – there is no need to prepare for the test. You will receive an e-mail invite to take the test within 1-3 days prior to the entrance exam.

Can I combine the program with my full-time or part-time job?

Yes, the program is designed with flexibility in mind. With evening classes, you can balance your studies alongside your full-time or part-time job while preparing for a rewarding IT career. However, be prepared to dedicate significant time outside of lectures for assignments and projects to get the most out of the program.
